ACTIVATED CHARCOAL ✧ from organic coconuts - functions like a sponge absorbing bacteria, chemicals, dirt, and other micro-particles found on the skin and in pores.
BENTONITE CLAY ✧ is unprocessed volcanic ash; it naturally has negative-charged molecules which is perfect for attracting positively charged toxins and impurities, like heavy metals. The clay molecules and the molecules of the toxins bind together and are washed away with the mask. This clay should not come into contact with any metals, or it will lose its negative charge.
RHASSOUL MORROCAN CLAY ✧ is added to lower the pH and provide an added boost of minerals.
Scoop out 1 tsp of powder into a small dish. Add a few drops of water at a time to form a smooth paste. Using a makeup brush or fingers, gently smooth the mask onto freshly cleansed skin, making sure to avoid the delicate eye area. Leave the mask on for up to 20 minutes. Gently remove the mask with a washcloth and warm water.
An alternative method would be to add a teaspoon to a small bowl and use a moistening medium of your choice. Yogurt, milk, and honey are fantastic choices!
Follow up with a toner or astringent and a moisturizer.
The recommended use for this mask, depending on your skin type, is to leave on for no more than 10 minutes and use it once every 1-2 weeks.
*Please note the skin may appear red after the mask is removed, this is completely normal and a positive sign that the mask is doing its job by increasing circulation to the surface of the skin, delivering nutrient-rich blood to the cells.
**If your skin is particularly sensitive, you can still reap the benefits of this pore detox. First mix the clay with raw honey, apple cider vinegar, or aloe vera juice and leave it on for a shorter period.
